The McGill Investment Club is pleased to invite you to the 2019 McGill Trading Simulation. The McGill Trading Simulation is one of the largest Trading Simulations in North America, bringing together over 300 students from top universities in the United States and Canada. In accordance with the McGill Investment Club's primary mission, the Simulation seeks to complement the formal education of students and prepare them for real life trading scenarios. We look forward to building upon the momentum from the previous years, and we request your participation in making this year’s Trading Simulation an even bigger success.

The McGill Trading Simulation provides participants with the opportunity to experience the excitement and anxiety of a real trading floor. Students challenge each other in the open market by trading shares and options of corporations through a computer system that updates quotations and news in real-time. Before trading commences, each participant receives a handbook containing essential information such as the profiles and financial information of the traded companies as well as macroeconomic conditions. This handbook is a guide in the process of trading. Further, during trading breaks, students have the opportunity to meet representatives from our sponsoring firms, which in the past have included Canada Pension Plan Investment Board, CIBC World Markets, National Bank Financial, RBC Capital Markets, and Scotiabank Global Banking & Markets among others. No prior experience or knowledge is required.
